Health Problems at the White House

Tony Snow announced today that cancer has spread to his liver.  This was very bad news for the press secretary and he delivered the information in an emotional announcement before the press corp.

Last week, Vice President Dick Cheney visited George Washington University Hospital.  He was not checking on the establishment’s conditions. Cheney was instead brought to the hospital due to a recurring pain in his leg, which stemmed from the blood clot an ultrasound discovered sometime the  week before following his marathon trip around the world.

G.W.U. Hospital spokeswoman Megan McGinn, stated that the ultrasound revealed no complications and that Cheney would remain on his current treatment schedule. Cheney has since returned to the White House and continues his normal schedule.

The White House is embattled from many sides and it looks like bad health may cause some turn overs in the administration before scandals do.

I feel bad for Tony Snow, but I wonder if they can thin blood as cold as Cheney's.

What I'm really waiting for is for Gonzalez to declare he's an alcoholic and enter rehab.

Shelly,

You are an astute political observer. There have been so many scandals lately that I failed to consider the likely 'I'm an alcoholic' defense by Gonzalez.

Now that you mention it, I suspect Bush may offer up the same defense some day as well. . . .
