Gridlock News

 For good or for bad parliamentary systems do have one advantage.  When the gridlock gets too ugly, they just dissolve parliament and call for new elections.  That's exactly what the of Ukraine did today. President Viktor Yushschenko disbanded the current government on national TV and called for new elections.

This is very similar to the fight sin that are taking place the United States between the Democrats and Republicans as past elections in the Ukraine have been extremely close and in some cases violently protested.  This dissolution is seen as one more step in the direction of that fight.
