Troop Shortage Forces deployment of Mentally ill Soldiers

Col Elspeth Ritchie, the US Army's top mental Health expert has indicated that soldiers suffering from mental illness potentially caused by post traumatic stress syndrome, have been forced back into combat. "Ritchie acknowledged that some deployment practices, such as sending service members diagnosed with post-traumatic stress syndrome back into combat, have been driven in part by a troop shortage."
