Cheney Goes through Driver Upgrade
Vice president Cheney apparently had no difficulties with his driver upgrade this weekend, when he got a recharged set of batteries for his pacemaker.
On a personal level I wish the vice president a speedy and healthy recovery. As I see it the faster he recovers, faster he might come to his senses and resign. The faster he resigns, faster President Bush might consider following suit. I would say the taxpayers and the Congress a lot of time and money and having to go and impeach both of them. Maybe on their way out the door they can take Alberto Gonzales with them.
In a way I feel like if they would just go, maybe we could all just called awash in forgive their mistakes as long as they promise to do no further harm by remaining in government.
That's a pipe dream however and were very likely to see special counsel and will probably have to be appointed by the courts to investigate each one of them in reverse order from what I've just named. It sure be nice to have them out of office though. I'd much rather see them sitting on a group of bar stools having a cold one while the nation recovers instead of having them continue on making things worse.
